An experienced operations leader in the Richmond, VA recovery residence space, David Rook began his career in 2012 as an operations manager of the McShin Foundation in Henrico. His responsibilities in this position entailed the oversight of a 22-person staff, with a focus on ensuring compliance with the foundation’s policies. In 2014, he expanded his professional activities by becoming the board president of the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences, a role he held until 2022. After leaving the McShin Foundation, David Rook became partner and president at True Recovery RVA in Richmond, VA. Under his guidance, the organization developed into Virginia's largest provider of recovery residence beds in just five years. Since 2023, he has owned and managed operations as the president of Next Frontier Recovery. In this role, he drives all strategic planning at the company.
Mr. Rook studied horticulture as an undergraduate at Virginia Polytechnic University in Blacksburg. When he is not supervising the senior management team or consulting with third-party clinical staff at Next Frontier Recovery, he enjoys fishing with his son on the James River. He is also involved in real estate sales.
